I was first introduced to Pilates when I was sixteen. Unfortunately at this particular time, I was temporarily paralyzed on my right hip and diagnosed with Reactive Arthritis due to a surgery complication for the removal of my tonsillitis. I started Pilates as my rehabilitation to strengthen my glutes and thighs with method CoavaTech Pilates. As Pilates became part of my daily routine, parallel of my dancing study, I studied and become certified with classical pilates Mat work with Power Pilates New York. Following this, approx. 3 years later, I expanded on my knowledge with CovaTech Pilates school, which included the use of all equipment’s and Mat (having more focus in variation for people with injury).During all of this time, I still remained a professional dancer and qualified at the S.P.I.D dance academy.
After becoming certified I started to work for several classical Pilates studios in Italy. I knew I found my passion and I wanted to expand my knowledge which led me to want to know more about postural exercises to integrate into my daily routine for clients. I became certified in ‘Postural Pancafit Metodo Raggi’ in Italy, which is a great method and designed to stretch all the muscles using specific techniques and the Pancafit equipment.
I’ve always been curious to learn new things and different approach in Pilates, especially regarding injuries, which lead me to move to Australia. I set myself up in Sydney where I was working in contemporary studio and also in physiotherapy studio, where I had a lot of patients coming to do Pilates as a rehabilitation for their injuries, which included professional athletes.During my time in Australia, I attend the Gyrotonic course( I first did my pre-training in Roma and again the same pre-training and level1 in Sydney), which combines the principles of Pilates, Yoga and dancing together with a focus on the importance on breathing.I then decided to move to Dubai where I kept expanding my knowledge in pilates.
Following this, I moved to London and worked in classical and dynamic Pilates studios for 3 years. During my time in London, I decided to travel to Bali where I became a certified Yoga trainer after completing a 200 hour course. During the past couple of years I have studied CoreAlign and I have attended the course 1 and level 2 twice and certified master trainer CoreAlign for Balanced Body. In JUNE 2022 I went to London to certified Garuda apparatus and i I hope to share this new technique with the students in the studio.
